Hosted by Dr. Janice Blumer, Scholarly! provides listening students, faculty and staff with meaningful information about scholarly activities that they need to stay ahead of the data and help polish their CV. Each episode covers a bite-size topic discussed in fifteen minutes or less, such as:

  1. How to come up with a good research idea?
  2. How to read scholarly articles?
  3. What is important in a poster presentation?
  4. How to find that best journal for your publication?

This academic podcast discusses how to fit academic writing into busy schedules, and includes interviews with guests on their unique experiences and advice. Dr. Blumer explains, “I began this podcast to help students with no research background to get started doing research and academic writing, with their biggest complaint being, ‘I don’t know where to start!’ Scholarly! has evolved to include topics of interest to the wider WesternU community and I am happy to include guest speakers who also have a passion in this area.”
