1. What are you working on now that excites you the most?

I am leading WU Faculty Development Academy for nurse educators from California, Guam, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada. Our team is providing new skills and evidenced-based approaches to building competent clinical faculty.  Having strong faculty is needed given the complexity of healthcare and the need for future healthcare providers.

WesternU is one of 10 university in the nation to have such a prestigious program.

 2. What book has had the greatest impact on your life?

To Err is Human – the Institute of Medicine’s report on quality health care.

3. What is your most prized possession?

My fountain pen collection (yes, I have too many)!

4. What is something that surprises people about you?

I have a black belt in Backgammon.

5. What piece of advice would you give to five year old you?

Everything you learn in Kindergarten truly can serve you for ever!
