Dr. Preet Kaur, DMD ’22, has been accepted into the prestigious UCLA Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction Post Graduate Training Program, a two-year residency. This program is renowned for providing hands-on experience in treating headache, neuropathic pain disorders, TMJ disorders, and obstructive sleep apnea with heavy emphasis placed on learning a medical model for assessing and treating patients. UCLA’s program is currently one of only 12 orofacial pain programs in the nation approved and accredited through the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Dr. Kaur becomes first College of Dental Medicine (CDM) alum admitted into the UCLA residency program demonstrating that since opening in 2009, the CDM has become well-respected and well-known in the dental education and healthcare community.
