On February 17, 2023, WesternU Health will be celebrating our WesternU Health employees. As healthcare workers, they have worked tirelessly over the last three years, ensuring that our patients continued to receive great care and our students continued to have the learning experience that they deserved. While the pandemic saw many employees staying at home and working remotely, the WesternU Health employees risked their own health as well as that of their families by coming into clinic every day.
Employees came together quickly as we saw most of the world stopping abruptly, and what had been a normal clinic day no longer existed. WesternU Health had to quickly adapt to virtual visits and introduced patients and employees to a new way of conducting clinical visits via phone and video. For patients who had to be seen in person, our clinics quickly ordered the necessary PPE and adapted waiting rooms and check-in procedures to help maintain social distancing. We continually collaborated to update workflows almost daily as the pandemic evolved, and this helped to bring our WesternU Health family closer together.
The celebration will be a time for our staff to be able to pause on patient care and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. There will be food, games, and music along with raffle prizes to help thank our staff for all the hard work that they have done.
